Adaptation gets a whole new definition after watching DevD. Kashyap should atleast refrain from quoting that this is the morden day version of Devdas.Agreed that characters 'resemble' the original novel, but the plot is far too streched to exploit the freedom of expression.
The movie does have its moments of brilliance but it all gets smothered thanks to the slow pace of the movie. Abhay Deol gives justice to his role, definately one of his better performances.
