Is that a ...
by Jeff on Aug 30 2008 11:23AM (IST)
Is that a laser point from a gun on that ladies head?
Hari Puttar, sounds lame ... Might be ok for the kids, but if its Bollywood isn't it a musical ... ISH!, don't think American Kids will go for that ... Plus, if they have to read sub-titles.

Hari kaun?
by P AA S H A on Aug 26 2008 6:15PM (IST)
To appease everyone, why don't the film makers change the name to HARI BETTA -- this will resolve all their miseries.

Hari Putter
by Amy on Aug 25 2008 10:43AM (IST)
While I agree with everyone else about the similarities between this movie and Home Alone, I'd rather watch something like that than something that involves witchcraft and teaches children how to actually perform spells. I'm not sure what was in the minds of the creators of Harry Potter, but all I see is corruption aimed toward the minds of our youth! I, however, other than by name only, see no similarities between this and Potter. Come on, guys!!!

LOL!
by Amanda on Aug 25 2008 2:30PM (IST)
Yes, because God forbid (and I'm sure you think He does) a kid enjoys a movie about fictional characters who perform magic! Oh noes, corrupting the youth of today, J. K. Rowling is a Satan worshiper! Get real.

hmmm....
by Jessica on Aug 25 2008 10:31AM (IST)
The only reason I read this was because they said it was so much like Harry Potter. It is not! It is more like Home Alone with the kid named Hari Puttar. So I think the lawsuit is point less. Just let them make their stupid little movie.

Oh please!

this has way less in common with harry potter than it does home alone! The set up is almost exactly the same as the first home alone movie once they move to the uk! only differences are:
1: Indian 2: UK 3: two kids 4: differnt reason why two bumbling idiots are trying to break in and get something that the dad made. (in home alone they were just regular buglers)
similarities:
1: TOO many people in house, kid(s) get left behind 2: while the rest of the group doesnt notice until too late 3: the mother is the ONLY on who heads out, on her own, to get the kid (what about the cousin's mother, doesnt she care?) 4: kid(s) go wild with the freedom 5: kid(s) become hero(s)! 6: mom makes it back home to her baby and everything is okay again
hmmm.. and the whole microchip thing was done in home alone 3:
via wikipedia:
Home Alone 3 Main article: Home Alone 3 The film centers on Alex Pruitt, a young boy who is left home alone because he is ill. At this time, four terrorists working for a North Korean terrorist group are sent by their boss to obtain a top-secret microchip that can act as a cloaking device for a missile.
so yeah, warner bros, dont you own that movie too? I think you are just hyping things up for the HP6 premire, jerks

This Better be a Satire...
by P. on Aug 25 2008 6:53AM (IST)
Cause the entire film is a take on SEVERAL movies. No wonder Warner Bros. is suing. If it isn't a satire, then whoever wrote this should write movies for Hollywood. They always reuse ideas.
