Rangasthal, in association with PTVA and Sathaye College launches theatre activities at the Sathaye College Auditorium in Vile Parle East…Two Months of Children’s Theatre…

Rangasthal, in association with PTVA and Sathaye College will launch regular theatre activities at the newly retrofitted Sathaye College Auditorium located in the college campus in Vile Parle East.

Rangasthal is a broad platform of theatre groups based in Mumbai committed to developing and expanding the space for new theatre work in the city. It believes that the Sathaye College Auditorium can be developed into a vibrant performance space for Mumbai’s theatre movement.

Theatre activities at the Sathaye College Auditorium will be launched with a season of plays designed for children and young people by some of Mumbai’s and Pune’s most talented directors and theatre companies.

This is a unique effort to bring the best of theatre to a neighbourhood space.

The season of children’s theatre starts on May 23 and 24 2009 with Asakta, Pune’s BED KE NEECHE REHENEWALI, directed by Mohit Takalkar.

This will be followed by plays in Marathi, English, and Hindi over subsequent weekends. A schedule is attached with details of the plays.
