GANDHI NE KAHA THA...A play intended to fight Terrorism...

Written by Rajesh Kumar and directed by Rohan Shroff, GANDHI NE KAHA THA deals with the emotional casualties and trauma arising from the defining moments of the Partition of India till last year's terrorist attack on Hotel Taj.
The play starts with Partition of India and its protagonist Tadkeshwar, a follower of Gandhi, loses his child to the consequent riots. He holds Gandhi and Gandhi's philosophy responsible for this. He comes to Gandhi and berates him and asks the remedy of the loss of his son. Gandhi tells him to adopt a Muslim orphaned Child and bring him up as a Muslim.
Producer Hanvant Gadhvi, a civil engineer by profession and an actor by vocation, is also playing a pivotal role of the fanatic Hindu Acharya Trigunamat. Another vital role of the Muslim son Aaftab is played by Agam Nigam, who has played cricket for India A under 19 years of age.
The play will be performed on 23rd & 25th October 2009 at 8.00 pm at the PL Deshpande auditorium, Prabhadevi. Its director Rohan Shroff says that "Gandhi Ne Kaha Tha" is with a message that will make one hate terrorism... It will touch your heart and will make to cry...
