Cyrus Dastur became a prominent name in the Indian theatre circuit with his flagship production WHEN GOD SAID CHEERS!! co-starring Tom Alter and directed and acted by Dastur. The play is one of the biggest hits on the Indian Theatre parallel circuit and has been staged at just about every unconventional venue across the country.
The production has steadfastly gone from strength to strength in the last six years.

Later Cyrus directed INTEHAA based on the works of Mirza Ghalib. The play features Tom Alter and Juhi Babbar. Cyrus has been credited with a large number of corporate skits and has put his theatre skills to effective use while working with corporates and other organizations.

He acts in his new play TONIGHT I CAN WRITE…and is successfully running the show at his popular film club called ‘Shamiana’. ‘Shamiana’ screens films by short fim makers in India. The event, which is now a monthly feature on the cultural calander of Mumbai at two venues has been launched in Pune and is gearing towards making its presence felt in other cities too.
