Actors' Cult is a Mumbai based theatre company, comprising mainly of the National School of Drama (NSD) graduates. It is a platform for actors who believe that theatre is a practicing art form and provides a space for those who are passionately attached to theatre. Its aim is to continually challenge itself and to push the boundaries of its creative aspirations.
The company has been active in Mumbai since 2004. Their first production was a Hindi adaptation of Ayn Rand's NIGHT OF JANUARY 16th. In 2005, the company produced NIGHT SONG, which was a Hindi adaptation of Ariel Dorfman's DEATH AND THE MAIDEN. In 2006 it was made possible for the company to work on a two-actor, collaborative project titled 'My Sister, My Friend'. The work explored the lives of a eunuch from India and a transsexual from the Philippines.
