Majha Masti Ni Mohkaan

By MTG editorial

The plot of this play revolves around the Mody Family. Farida is a dignified and modest widow of Gustad Mody and the mother of Rohinton, a hypochondriac, a social worker with the community's benefit at heart and an aspiring candidate fighting the forthcoming Parsi Panchayet elections. Parizad and Dinaz (Wife and daughter of Rohinton) are all excited about Dinaz's Navjote while Frenymai (Parizad's mother) also makes her presence felt as she is staying there temporarily to help her daughter Pari with the housework. Nadershaw (Farida's oldest and beloved friend) also keeps popping in and out with his helpful suggestions – only there are no takers.

Farida, who hops around the globe for her social events and awareness lunches, gets friendly with a man and decides to get married to him. To her dismay her son Rohinton goes in a frenzy at the mere thought and nobody in the house agrees or understands Farida's side of the story.Matters get complicated when the caterers pay a visit and learn that apart from the Navjote there is also a wedding in the family. They decide to kill 2 birds with one stone. Finally all agree to the wedding, But all hell breaks loose when there are unexpected visitors and a sudden change of plans.

Who are the unexpected visitors? Does Farida marry again? What are the change of plans? All in all a mirthquake that will leave you shaking with laughter ever after.
