By MTG editorial

They say marriages are made in heaven. But can a challenging, lifelong relationship be built on the foundations of empty rituals? Can vows actually ensure loyalty and love? Exploring this universal theme, MANE MAARA MRS NATHI GAMTA is a wholesome mix of comedy, drama and family entertainment.

The story begins when Amatya, the son of shipping tycoon Pinakin, falls in love with the lovely Kadambari. Their romance blossoms and a wedding is around the corner. But destiny intervenes in a dramatic turn of events. One of the family's prized ships gets hijacked by Somalian pirates and the ransom demanded is a shocking Rs 400 crore. Into this predicament walks Vasant, an old friend of Pinakin's. Vasant offers to bail out Pinakin and Amatya by giving the ransom amount to the pirates. But soon after Vasant dies, his daughter Santu is left without family or support. Eager to repay the debt of friendship, Pinakin suggests that Amatya should marry Santu and give her a family. In a true Catch 22 situation Amatya agrees to marrying Santu but from the wedding night itself, it becomes clear, that Amatya is still in love with Kadambari.

So what is to become of this loveless marriage that has the blessings of God and family but little else? What happens when the groom announces to his new bride that "Mane Maara Mrs Nathi Gamta?"
