Manilal Nabhubhai Dwivedi was a noted 19th century Sanskrit scholar, Gujarati poet and prose writer and advocate of women's education. This play, based on his autobiography, looks at his life, which he lived with passion and creativity despite much unhappiness. It revolves around his life and works and evolves as a spiritual and philosophical Quest- a full length play that will shake up, excite and fascinate the Rasikjanas!

Manilal Nabhubhai Dwivedi was born on 10th September 1858 in a Sathodra Nagar Brahmin Family, in Nadiyad – Gujarat. He was a great Scholar, literary genius and a staunch Hindu social reformist who not only translated great Hindu scriptures with élan but also created some excellently original body of work in different forms of expressions such as essays, poetry, philosophy and plays. An Advocate of Women's education and an epitome of Intelligence, Manilal Nabhubhai Dwivedi lived a life of extreme lust, pain and passion, which which would eventually lead him to spiritual enlightenment.
