Meera and Ranjit instead of nurturing their relationship and being loving and patient, allow their egos to destroy their marriage. After their divorce Meera is left with their three-year-old daughter, Payal.
When the play opens, Payal is getting married. Ranjit comes to attend his daughter's marriage. What happens next is the story of "Jaise Mile Kitabon Mein."
