This year happens to be 151st anniversary of the first freedom struggle of 1857 and also the 61st year of our existence as a free and independence nation. On this occassion "Kalabhishek Pariwar" is organising a Grand Musical Marathi Documentary Play "Yalgar 1857" based on subject of 1857 revolt; a first freedom struggle to rekindle the past memories.

This play not only reveals sacrifices of great known heroes but also shows contribution of unknown heroes, women supports, and few rare instances of history which hardly been heard such as sending message of independence through lotus and through tiffin boxes by women etc.

This also has live music and songs written by Shri Sudheer Moghe and composed by Shri Vinay Patankar. It is very interesting presentation of knowing history effectively by narrations, songs and scenes. To maintain authenticity of program few scenes remain kept in Hindi/Urdu for example Bahadur Shah Zafar, Kunwar Singh, Mangal Pandey etc. are presented in Hindi only.
