JAWAI MAAZA BHALA appears to be based on the well-known Steve Martin movie, ‘Father of the Bride’. It depicts the emotional upheaval a father goes through when his daughter is about to be married.

He can slowly see his position in her life being toppled and taken over by some other man. Needless to say, he finds it difficult to accept and cannot even admit it as such.

The tone of the play is light humour.
