SECRET SUPERSTAR and GOLMAAL AGAIN
Checking out the Diwali releases- Rohit Shetty’s Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Tabu starrer GOLMAAL AGAIN and Aamir Khan’s SECRET SUPERSTAR- the celebrations continue for the former, while the latter has seen diminishing returns, Monday onwards.
Coming to the details, after a stupendous opening weekend of 88-90 crores, GOLMAAL AGAIN, one of the biggest franchise from Bollywood, continued its inspired run even during the weekdays and is likely to end the opening week netting around 140 crore, give or take 5 crore. As things stand, GOLMAAL AGAIN is all set to end up as the biggest Hindi hit of 2017. The film has also seen an impressive overseas tour grossing nearly $4m thus far.
The second Diwali offering, the limited release and multiplex centric, SECRET SUPERSTSAR, managed a decent performance (in the wake of GOLMAAL AGAIN tsunami), netting 31-32 crore during the 4-day opening weekend but saw mid-level collections Monday onwards and is likely to end the first week at around the 45 crore mark, give or take a couple of crore. SECRET SUPERSTAR is likely to end up as a reasonable success. The film has impressed in the overseas grossing $2.50m thus far.

Adding another 10 crore JUDWAA 2 has netted 133 crore in three weeks from India and is a super hit. The film has also impressed in the overseas grossing $6m with £430,000 from UK and $1,500,000 from the US.
Concluding for the last time with the Rajkummar Rao starrer, NEWTON, the film added another 1.50 crore thus netting 23.50 crore in four weeks from India and is an above average fare.
