Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week-7th June 2018

This Friday will witness the release of megastar Rajnikanth’s KAALA (dubbed as KAALA KARIKALAN) along with JURASSIC WORLD : FALLEN KINGDOM. With both films having their loyal set of fans, the two may find some patronage, till the RACE begins, in a week’s time.

The major release of last week, Anil Kapoor Film Company and Balaji Telefilms Ltd’s Kareena, Sonam, Swara and Shikha starrer, VEERE DI WEDDING, saw a superb start and a great weekend (35-36 crore) and maintained beautifully thereafter during the weekdays too. As things stand, VEERE DI WEDDING, is all set to be at least a big success, if not hit! VDW is also a good overseas success grossing $2.65m with £195,000 from UK and $1,175,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (1-3 June).

The other release of the same week as VDW, Vikramaditya Motwane’s Harshvardhan Kapoor venture BHAVESH JOSHI SUPERHERO, has been rejected.

One can’t help but mention Madhuri Dixit’s Marathi venture, BUCKET LIST, which is outstanding in Mumbai-Thane district and other centre of Maharashtra.

Adding another 19 crore RAAZI has netted an astounding 110 crore in three weeks from India and is a super hit. RAAZI is superb in the overseas grossing £380,000 from UK and $2,700,000 from the US, till the fourth weekend (1-3 June).

Concluding yet again with Umesh Shukla’s Amitabh-Rishi starrer, 102 NOT OUT, the film added another 3.50 crore thus netting 52 crore in four weeks from India and is a hit. 102 NOT OUT has also done very well in the overseas grossing £165,000 from UK and $1,150,000 from the US.
