Throughout the journey of PADMAAVAT the cast and crew stayed away from marketing and promotions of the film, thanks to the heated controversy from the fringe groups. While its release was on unsure stage, and even after facing huge protest, the makers of PADMAAVAT hosted a special screening of the film. The entire team turned up bravely and cheerfully.
Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Sanjay Leela Bhansali mother Leela Bhansali, Shahid Kapoor's father Pankaj Kapur and wife Supriya Pathak, brother Ishaan Khattar, mother Neelima Azeem, Ranveer Singh with father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani mother Anju Bhavnani sister Ritika Bhavnani, singer Neeti Mohan, Shakti Mohan and Mukti Mohan, Shraddha Kapoor aunt Padmini Kolhapure, Indian filmmaker, social activist and also a member of CBFC Ashoke Pandit graced the screening of PADMAAVAT.
'Lovebirds' Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh walked hand-in-hand. It seems they were more happy about walking together and showing their PDA than the screening of PADMAAVAT. Deepika blushed and gushed at the screening, while Ranveer was also all smiles in the company of his lady love. They never accepted their relationship in public but their PDA is enough to say.
Deepika looked stunning in white anarkali, beau Ranveer Singh looked classy in a white Pathani suit. Yesterday Deepika visited Siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings for the smooth release, after the Supreme Court gave the final go-ahead for the release of the film. On the other hand gorgeous couple Shahid Kapoor wife Mira Rajput were twinning in black also walked hand-in-hand. They both were accompanied by their family members. Shahid looked hunk in white t-shirt and ripped denims which he teamed with a black jacket while Mira looked gorgeous in a floral black top and black denims. She rounded her look with beautiful diamond earrings and high heels.
PADMAAVAT director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was spotted with his mother Leela Bhansali. He was seen sporting a black kurta for the screening. PADMAAVAT has been getting mixed reviews from the critics.
Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar, mother Neelima Azeem also graced the special screening of PADMAAVAT. Ishaan Khattar will next be seen in DHADAK. He will be working with Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor in this film. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The story is based on the 2016 Marathi language film SAIRAT. The film is slated to release on 20 July 2018. On the other hand father Pankaj Kapur was spotted with his wife Supriya Pathak.
Ranveer Singh's father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, mother Anju Bhavnani, sister Ritika Bhavnani also supported PADMAAVAT by attending the screening.
Indian singer Neeti Mohan, Shakti Mohan and Mukti Mohan, Padmini Kolhapure and Ashoke Pandit were also spotted at the screening of PADMAAVAT.
However, strangely the screening was graced only by PADMAAVAT team and their close ones. Looks like Bhansali kept away industry from watching the film or it was other way round.
