Daisy Shah started her career with Salman Khan’s TERE NAAM wherein she was co-dancer with Bhai and later went on to become his co-star in JAI HO and since then she has been part of few Bollywood films like HATE STORY 3.
Daisy Shah has been part of Salman’s Da Baang tour since its inception. This year too Salman and Daisy will shake a leg together at the tour along with other actors.
In conversation with Daisy Shah as she speaks about the Da Baang tour, working with Salman Khan and her choice of films!
Excerpts from the interview:
You have always been part of Da Baang Tour, how different is it from the earlier ones?
It’s a fun filled tour with Salman and every year we have new songs and theme, evidences love it around the global, in fact each year we have one or the other new star and it’s great to be part of this tour and I look forward to it.
Your camaraderie with Salman Khan is not hidden, if you could elaborate about the bond you share with him?
I think I have spoken a lot about the bond I share with him.
You have been choosy about your projects what things you keep in mind when you select a script?
The story line, the director and the role, I always keep these things above in content driven films and for all genres. For instance JAI HO was a content driven film, HATE STORY 3 was thriller. I did HATE STORY as I wanted to shed my girl-next door image while my next RAMRATAN is a romantic comedy film. I am open to new scripts. I wouldn’t want to limit myself.
'I wouldn’t want to limit myself'
What is that one thing you would want to learn from Salman Khan?
The way Salman connects with his audience, I love it! I am trying to learn that from him. It is not that you only have to dance and entertain the public there. It is more about the interaction you have with the people who have come to watch your show. You have to connect with them at a certain level for them to enjoy the show.
I am really enjoying my work. While it is great to work in films, I am super-duper excited to be a part of the Da-Bangg Tour yet again as we get instant reactions from the crowd and the amount of love and energy that they give you is great experience. The instant connection that you share with them is at a different level.
Tell us about your journey in Bollywood?
My journey has been good. I am blessed to get good films and I have lovely fans. I haven’t seen downs in my career so far.
