Richa Chadha has entertained us with her magnificent performance in MASAAN, GANGS OF WASSEYPUR - Part 1 & 2, and went to tickle our funny bones in FUKREY franchise as Bholi Punjaban, and has got acclaimed for her role.
Hailing from Delhi this girl has dreams in her eyes and is on the verge of accomplishment. Having no godfather from the industry she is growing step-by-step.
Richa has made her mark by the choice of films she has done and the way she presents herself, she is bold, fearless and like one of us in real life.
As she turns a year younger, we get you five things you don’t know about her!
I am vegan, and I don’t even take dairy products! For me living a healthy life is a must and being a Punjaban, I eat a lot and eventually burn it too. My fav food is home cooked food.
For every role I do something different as a part of preparation, for instance, when I was filming GANGS OF WASSEYPUR I had applied a certain perfume to get into the skin of the character.
Many of them thought I don’t know English or I fit in a bracket of certain roles as I have done GANGS OF WASSEYPUR and MASAAN kind of films. Even while filming FUKREY they thought I only do certain roles, post Bholi Punjban people knew that yes, I can do comedy. People’s perception changed. I am closer to my FUKREY RETURNS gang. In fact I did ‘Inside Edge’ web series ,so that I can showcase different roles. I don’t want to be stereotyped.
Do gossips bother her?
There are pros and cons in the industry, when you are in the Industry certainly things written about you. Initially I would read it and it would bother me but now I am used to it. I have made some really good friends in the industry and I am blessed, whatever I have achieved is by sheer hard work.

One thing in life you want to do or learn?
My brother is super talented, he sings and plays musical instrument. I too want to learn and profess it and also sing. Soon I will do that too.
Here’s wishing Richa Chadha a very happy birthday!
