‘8 Samandar Apna Ambar Khojle Ab Tu Apne Dam Par..Khol De Par’ goes the lyrics of the latest song ‘Khol De Par’ from Rani Mukerji starrer HICHKI. With lilting lyrics by Raj Shekhar, the song ignites the fire in all of us to dream big and follow those dreams too.

Sung by Arijit Singh the song tells us that once you are ready to achieve what you want then there’s no stopping. Rani Mukerji, who plays a teacher in the film help her students (who are ‘backbenchers’) realize that they can achieve anything despite weaknesses or social stigmas.

Rani helps her students to understand that if they decide to take the leap then nobody can stop them be it in academics or life.

There’s one dialogue in the song in which a fellow teacher tries to criticize Rani’s ways of teaching but she gives him a perfect reply by saying, “School ke bahar jab zindagi imtehaan leti hai toh subject wise nahi leti”

All these small things bring out the essence of the film HICHKI. The determination, affection and care with which Rani teaches her students will make you wish you had a teacher like her in your life as well.

HICHKI salutes the unsung efforts dedicated teachers make and its life changing impact on their students.

Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, the film is all set to hit the silver screens on March 23.
