News of veteran actress and India’s first female superstar Sridevi’s death took the entire nation by surprise and it’s almost like Sadma for the entire film industry.
The 54-year-old actress was in Dubai to attend the wedding of actor Mohit Marwah who is Boney Kapoor’s sister’s son. The actress was accompanied by youngest daughter Khushi and hubby Boney for this family function. Her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor couldn’t attend the family wedding functions since she was busy shooting for her debut film DHADAK.
Yesterday early morning news of Sridevi’s death due to cardiac arrest started doing the rounds and by the time it was confirmed the entire world woke up to this heartbreaking news. Everyone right from her co-stars to her juniors to actors who though might not have worked with her but were blessed enough to be present at the time when the legend was still around started offering condolence to the Kapoor family on various social media platforms.
Pakistani actress Sajal Aly who played with Sridevi’s daughter in her last film MOM wrote on a micro-blogging site that she lost her Mom again, as she has already lost her mother while shooting for MOM and it was Sridevi who had comforted Sajal during the rest of the film’s shoot.
Messages started pouring in from all the corners of the world mourning the loss of a legend. You can read those messages below:
