These days depression and suicidal cases are on high. After every fortnight or a month or so we hear about the suicide cases, especially from the entertainment industry. Be it Bollywood or Hollywood or any other market, mental health issues prevail across the world.
Now the immensely popular American singer, songwriter and actress Lady Gaga friend and model the heavily tattooed Rick “Zombie Boy” Genest, who featured in her video ‘Born This Way’, has succumbed to death as he committed suicide. The 32-year old who lived in Montreal, Canada, was found dead in his home on Wednesday, according to the reports. As soon as the news broke out, Lady Gaga took to her social media account and posted a heartfelt message. But besides that she also raised the points on mental health issues and that something needs to be done. Moreover, she also suggested few ideas as to how one can combat depression, mental health problems, or loneliness.
As she pointed on mental health, it reminded us of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who with her organisation The Live Love Laugh Foundation is striving hard to deal with mental health issues. The actress on various platforms & time and again spoke about it. In fact, when she opened up about her depression phase, Deepika open-heartedly spoke about it and gave a way out to deal with it. Indeed Lady Gaga’s today’s point resonates with Deepika Padukone’s voice for mental health issues. Take a look at Lady Gaga’s powerful posts here:
The suicide of friend Rick Genest, Zombie Boy is beyond devastating. We have to work harder to change the culture, bring Mental Health to the forefront and erase the stigma that we can’t talk about it. If you are suffering, call a friend or family today. We must save each other. pic.twitter.com/THz6x5JlpB— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 3, 2018
