Oh dear, it won’t be the same again. The most ambitious period drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali – PADMAVATI starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead may end this phenomenon. Read further to know what we are talking about.
PADMAVATI is Bhansali’s fictional account on the life of Rani Padmini (played by Deepika Padukone), a legendary queen mentioned in Padmavat, wife of Rana Rawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor), the ruler of Mewar during circa 1303 and the desire of Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh), the Turkic ruler of the Delhi Sultanate to capture Rani Padmini, leading to the siege to the Chittor Fort in Rajputana.
The movie has had its share of controversies again and again, with the debate whether the makers will be able to keep with its release date – 17 November 2017 or not is currently on, but we are more concerned about the end of this tremendous feeling.
A source close to the production reveals that the makers of PADMAVATI are keen to release the film on its schedule date and will definitely keep their promise. However, PADMAVATI will mark the end of the Ranveer-Deepika trilogy. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has collaborated with his favourites - Ranveer and Deepika previously in GOLIYON KI RAASLEELA RAM –LEELA (2013) and BAJIRAO MASTANI (2015) with fabulous results and PADMAVATI will be the last one in this scenario, though reportedly they both won’t share any screen space together but the movie may mark the end of the awesome threesome combo of Bhansali, Ranveer and Deepika on the silver screen.
