Web series is one of the booming space in digital world. With every director wanting to splurge into this space. Amazon’s second web series ‘Breathe’ is surely here to take your breath away. It has R MADHAVN who has first time ventured into a web space.

‘Breathe’ was premiered at Amazon Video on 26 January 2018 and this is Amazon Prime Video’s second Indian original series. The series stars R. Madhavan, Amit Sadh, Hrishikesh Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Atharva Vishwakarma and Neena Kulkarni in lead roles.

The series is helmed by Mayank Sharma, Abhijeet Deshpande and just asks one question, how far will you go to protect the one you love?

The series is a tale of two desperate and driven men who play the cat and mouse game to save the one they love.

First six episodes of the series are released while the next two will be released in coming days.

The first six episodes show us turbulent change of emotions of a father R Madhvan (Danny), a helpless father, husband and alcoholic cop Kabir (Amit Sadh) and how they take and fight the challenges in life.

The series starts with Kabir Sawant on an investigation as he is out to catch a drug dealer and finds one of his corrupt policemen in the racket. To give a clear insight of his character Kabir is a lonely guy who has dwelled his life in alcohol after the death of his young daughter, he is battling divorce as well as investigating cruel some cases.

Talking about R Madhavan’s (Danny) character he is a doting dad, a football freak and a parent who wants his son to stay alive as Atharva is battling a major lung disease for which his lung needs a donor for which he is running helter and skelter to get a donor to save his son’s life.

The first episode shows a happy family, a loving grand mother, a cute little son Atharva and daddy Danny who celeb the sixth birthday of Atharva, despite having a fun filled birthday, some sad faces fearing that Atharva will die if he doesn’t get an organ donor.

Atharva is on the fourth position to be the recipient of the donor so daddy Danny turns vengeful and gets into an act which shake us. He kills and plots people’s murder so tactfully that you will surely start hating him but then when you see him with his son you will feel for him.

R Madhavan , who has been the crush for girls for years, has done something which makes us go speechless. He is beyond words, his acting, expressions and body language you will be aghast to see him in this avatar.

A father, who can go to any extent to save his kid ends up murdering only organ donors and still struggling to save his kid is a perplexing situation for a human mind.

R Madhavan’s this grey shade will make you love and hate him.

While Amit Sadh as a diligent cop has various layers in his character, he turns alcoholic after his daughter’s death. His wife Sapna Pabbi (Rai) leaves him as he is unable to get out of his grief. He investigates the murder and suspects that Danny is the killer but is still connecting proofs. Despite having Madhavan, Amit has an impactful role.

While Neena Kulkarni as granny is lovable and sweet and is unaware how his son is killing others to save his grandson.

Whereas Sapna Pabbi has a small yet meaty role as she takes the plot ahead and is the next target for Danny.

Breathe will certainly keep you on the edge of the seat and is truly griping, something that we haven’t seen in Indian web series. Despite having a topic like organ donor it still manages to keep up to its genre.

We can’t wait to watch the next two episodes. A must watch for every person who loves a crime thriller.
