This year power house performer Irrfan Khan won two back to back Best Actor Awards at Filmfare and Screen Awards for his performance in Saket Chaudhary’s comedy-drama HINDI MEDIUM.
Now there’s one more good news for Irrfan Khan fans, as a sequel to HINDI MEDIUM has been confirmed and would go on floors in August with Irrfan reprising his role of a Delhi based businessman Raj Batra who aspires to give his daughter the best education.
A source close to the development revealed, “The story flash-forwards by a decade so five-year-old Pia will be in her teens now, around 15-16 years. The story will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system with little reference to the original.”
The source further informed that director Saket Chaudhary won't be a part of the sequel. Dinesh Vijan who had produced HINDI MEDIUM along with Bhushan Kumar had recently inked a multiple-project film deal with him. Dinesh will once again produce the sequel with T-Series.
