After ringing in Chota Nawab Taimur’s birthday, Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan is back to promoting his film KAALAKAANDI which is set to hit the screens on January 12, 2018.
After the striking trailer, makers launched a rather peppy and groovy number full of swag called ‘Swagpur Ka Choudhary’.
At the press conference of the song launch, Saif looked dapper as always and flaunted his swag with smile and witty one-liners.
When asked Saif what does swag mean to him, he politely said, “I don’t have any swag, I don’t flaunt, I am a simple person. If someone compliments my shoes I say, ‘Thank you’, or they say I wore nice socks I say that too.. yes in this film I have worn grey socks with red dots. I think this is socks. I have worn pink socks, I think that’s not easy.”
As the song is a happy and peppy Number when asked what makes Saif happy, to which he said, small things make me happy like, being with friends, family, Music, money, working, travelling.”
As the song is quirky and has a very different tone to it with the cool and social lingo word ‘swag’ when asked Saif did he like the song and one of the most swaagiest thing he has done in his life to which Saif smiling answered, “i haven’t danced or done anything in Haryana Road as I am a Pataudi, people have respect for me there. I just drove a tractor there..”
Furthermore talking about the new song, he said,” I didn’t understand the lyrics till they (Music directors) explained it me, and it’s a fun number. There are so many funny and embarrassing songs I have danced and been part off in 90’s, one of them was a rat song wherein I wore a bizzare attire and I had to take the rat out of my trousers I was just terrified what if the rat bites me…I guess that was the demand of those kind of songs in 90’s. In fact I remember telling the music directors of KAALAKAANDI to take a young music composer to which they said, the older one has experience.. the young ones make music in hurry.”
Last but not the least Saif ended the press conference by talking about how he wrapped up the year 2017, “It was a wonderful year both personally and professionally. I learnt a lot of acting.it has been a good year for me.”
