With two back to back chartbusters, from the upcoming blockbuster biopic, SUBEDAR JOGINDER SINGH - ‘Gal Dil Di’ and ‘Ishq Da Tara’- the stage is already on fire for the third, ‘Hathyar’, unveiled recently. The motivational, patriotic and dramatic background situational number raises goose bumps and hearts filled with pride, seeing the valour, passion and sacrifice of our soldiers who laid down their lives fighting for the honour of our motherland during the Indo-China war of 1962.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who said, “Sawa lakh se ek laraun, Chirion se main baaz turaun, Tabe Gobind Singh naam kahaun” (emphasising that each sikh soldier equals 1.25 lakh others), and it is just apt that ‘Hathyar’ commences with his Bani - “Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ihai Shubh Karman Te Kabhu Na Taron; Na Daron Arr Siyo Jab Jai Laron Nishchay Kar Apni Jeet Karon”. The Gurmeet Singh composed and Amardeep Singh Gill penned composition is rendered with zeal and zest, by Nachhatar Gill. Param Vir Chakra recipient Subedar Joginder Singh essayed superbly by Gippy Grewal is seen urging his troop to march on and fight the enemy. . The track concludes with ‘ Jo Bole So Nihal...’, just the right deshbhakti turbocharge!
The preparations for the war and the subsequent head on clash, with patriotic ‘taalimaar’ dialogues in between, raises the awaited quotient to the Zenith. And one can’t wait to watch it on the big screen all over on 6th April.
