Ever since the announcement of 'Suits' actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement everyone was speculating what would happen to her acting career once she decides to be a member of the Royal family and much to the dismay of her fans, Meghan has reportedly decided to quit acting.
In her first joint interview for BBC with Prince Harry, Meghan said, “What’s been really exciting, as we talk about this as the transition out of my career... is that the causes that have been very important to me, I can focus even more energy on. You realize that as you have access, or a voice that people are willing to listen to, [it comes with] a lot of responsibility, which I take seriously."
When asked if she would be giving up her acting career she said, “I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter. And keep in mind I’ve been working on my show for seven years. We were very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series. For me, once we hit the 100 episode marker, I thought, I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work we’ve done there and now it’s time to work as a team with Harry.”
Well we are disheartened now that one of our favorite characters from 'Suits' is calling it quits. Reportedly even Patrick Adams who plays her fiancé Mike Ross in the show will be leaving the show after season 7 finale.
Congratulating Meghan over her engagement Patrick, shared a picture of her on a photo-sharing site captioning it, “Playing Meghan’s television partner for the better part of a decade uniquely qualifies me to say this: Your Royal Highness, you are a lucky man and I know your long life together will be joyful, productive and hilarious. Meghan, so happy for you, friend. Much love.”
