The story is about a family consisting of a very strict father, who has framed certain rules and regulations which are to be followed by his children and the daughter-in-law and the servant. Nobody has the guts to speak against the father or to express their opinions in front of him. But as soon as he is away they have nothing else but to give vent to their feeling of disgust and imprisonment that they have to undergo. One day the daughter-in-law announces that she is pregnant and now looking at her delicate health it is imperative to have another servant who can look after her, but the question now is who is going to bell the cat. Somehow the father grants them the permission to engage the services of a maid servant.

Enter the maid servant and she takes the house by the storm with her witty answers and everybody falls in love with her caring and jovial nature. She tries to gather information about the master of the house and why the children are so very scared of him. One fine morning both the maid and the master come face to face and the master is shocked to see the lady standing in front of him.
