View Dhamaal Movie StillsNow that the TADA court has decided that Sanjay Dutt has to go to jail to atone for the acts of omission and commission that he committed in impetuosity, it has given rise to two school of thoughts, one relates to the trauma that Sanjay Dutt has to undergo, and another one is about the films that may be stuck in the pipe line.

While there is a projection about the perceived economic loss that may accrue to the producers who are making films with Sanjay Dutt, the issue seems to be losing sheen, and the charm and goodwill that Sanjay Dutt has been able to generate for himself, primarily by his MUNNABHAI series is arising from below in a slow and sustained manner and may convert into a wish that may translate into blessings to set himself off as a free man.

Sanjay Dutt's career is a live example of baptism by fire. The first phase was post-ROCKY phase, when he made his debut, during which he had rather a dazed appearance whose pinnacle was VIDHATA where the way he uttered the dialogue 'Abbu Baba', was indicative that he was a lost child in the maze of the film world. The second phase started with NAAM and he appeared as a dashing new star on the horizon that could adorn the mantle of a lead hero. This was also the phase when he graduated from working with Anita Raaj and Amrita Singh to Madhuri Dixit, indicative of the increase in his stature as an actor. During this phase only, his softer romantic side also came in view and SAAJAN established him as an actor of accomplishment. But the streak of rebel was always latent and the same was expressed in impacted manner whenever a chance was presented to him to do so.

This phase was broken by his imprisonment and after his incarceration and subsequent release he became a star of reckoning with rows of powerhouse of performances, like KHALNAYAK, THANEDAAR, VAASTAV, etc. During this phase he became a sort of specialist of gangster films. Were, one to have a peep into his films in this phase, most of them were having a subtle nuance of Bhaigiri in all his films in one-way or the other.

His career is a baptism by fire as he was ready to undergo detoxification to get rid of his drugs habit, then he was ready to face the legal system of the country for his impetuosity and has again acquiesced to the commands and directions of the legal system. He is like the gold whose purity keeps on increasing with each of the ordeals that he undergoes.

As Justice Kode who has awarded the judgment said, may he live up to 100 years to enthrall the audience so be it, but may be the breaks that have happened in his career earlier running to around two years, should not exceed up to six years as has been ordained, but may he get a lighter punishment, as he has already atoned for his sins.
