She is the first Indian who has won the BEST ACTRESS AWARD at the Asian Festival of First Films held last year, and has also won the Global Indian Award for her role in GANGSTER, but now Kangana Ranaut is making news for all the different reasons. The incident of violence in which she has reportedly been involved with Aditya Pancholi has again raised the issue as to why the heroines are condescend enough to be at the receiving end of violence or suffering, more so in the film industry?
Is Kangana Ranaut literally living the character of Parveen Babi that she etched out on the screen in reality, and in that sense is trying to follow in the footstep of Parveen Babi to the hilt? Is it so imperative to be in the headlines that one is ready to be at the receiving end of violence as well, as seems to be the case of Kangana Ranaut?
When a heroine is at the receiving end of the violence it gives the message that all is not hunky dory at the personal front, and then even though she might be having an exciting career ahead she tends to gradually drop out from the projects. Indian film industry has been replete with incidents of these kinds where silent sufferings have been endured, under the false notion of having been able to find a mooring in this monster of a recluse industry. But those were the times when the levels of education and awareness were germane, but with the level of awareness and the level of personal accomplishments with which the actresses come to the industry, this kind of behaviorism does not bode well for industry at all.
Kangana Ranaut had been making news for some time for all the wrong reasons, viz., for spreading of acid on her sister and then the same culprit issuing a threat that he would do the same with Kangana as well. If she had to find an arm candy, a seriously outdated actor like Aditya Pancholi who never was a top star at any point of time is a really bad choice.
Interestingly enough, if one were to analyse the heroines of the past as well, who have worked with Mahesh Bhatt be it a Smita Patil, or a Parveen Babi or a Mallika Sherawat have had a legacy of these kind in one form or the other associated with their lives.
