DO AANKHEN BARAH HAATH was a film from his stable which is the best example of making the innovation stand on his head. There might be other such innovators in the arty film arena but in the commercial arena it was V Shantaram who was a pioneer.
Innovation in context of films is always appreciated when it harps on delivering a message of social importance as it's under current. This is what makes the film stand out and counted as legends. Hollywood does this repeatedly on a very regular basis, and this is the reason why it is relished all over the world. When the streak of innovativeness loses novelty in terms of its appearance in a sporadic manner as it is now with the Hindi films, then Hindi films would also become the cynosure of the eyes all over the world.
