It seems the projection of FICCI about the Indian Entertainment industry having the market capitalization of more than Rs. 30,000 crores is being taken seriously by the industry. Fame Adlabs has taken an initiative in this summer vacations to tap the creative potential of the children who have the inclination for and aptitude for various facets of making of cinema be it for acting, direction, script writing or any other thing. It is organizing a Theatre workshop, which would culminate in making of a movie and its display at the end of the workshop.

This is indeed a positive step, as it would throw up some serious talent, which can be nurtured, and then can the future of entertainment industry would indeed be illuminating, TAARE would descend on the floor. B4U, West Side Plus and Radio One are supporting this initiative. There may be a reservation about the initiative picking up talent only from Mumbai, but it needs to be appreciated that an initiative has been undertaken, that too from a company, which is thinking and implementing steps to change the manner in which cinema is perceived in the mind of average movie goers. It had all started with the change that Fame had ushered in movie viewing. For children, it would be different break from mundane painting and drawing and may be next year more such initiatives would happen all over the country.

As a matter of fact, Ramoji Rao film city is also organizing such camp in Hyderabad as well, which though strictly is not about the nuances of film making, but it does give a sneak preview of what film making is all about by offering the children an opportunity to see for themselves functioning of Ramoji Rao film city.
May be, taking a cue from this initiative PVR may also design some kind of programme for children in North India. Cinema aficionados can be developed in such a manner with relative ease. This would also wean the children away from the television viewing, as it would give them an outlet to their creative talents. Entertainment industry may indeed become one of the biggest companies and amen to that.
