Nowhere else would the fixation with god have had such a profound expression as it is the case with the Hindi film industry. The fixation is owing to the fact that god has spelled success for most of the stars associated with it and the two stars that are coming together once again are a live testimony. Amitabh Bachchan's conversation with the god in DEEWAR is what gave him an iconic status, which went on getting underlined in one way or the other with the films like COOLIE, JAADUGAR, TOOFAN etc.

For Salman Khan as well, god has been rather magnanimous enough to become his benefactor. It had started in a rather innocuous manner in KHAMOSHI: THE MUSICAL and it turned out that Salman Khan could converse with the god in a very convincing manner. It got its accentuation in a very profound manner in HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM and the conversations that Salman had in HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM are considered to be one of his best scenes that he performed in his career. Probably, the conversation with the god had enamored him so much that he became invisible in HELLO BROTHER and was able to perform wonders there as well.

God as a companion or the thing to be dreaded for or a force almighty before which everybody has to bow his head has been a favorite subject of the filmmakers in the Hindi cinema. The lavish sets of AWAARA that Raj Kapoor had used in the song'' Ghar Aaya Mera Pardesi...'' was again the struggle of a man to come to terms with his anonymity in comparison with the might of the god.

In one form or the other this struggle continues to reverberate in score of Hindi films and in each generation a star has used this as his channel vehicle to give one of his best performances. The sense of loss that Dilip Kumar had evoked in NAYA DAUR before the god is considered to be one of his best performances. Big B has done it a number of times. In the next generation it is Salman Khan who has flirted with the authority of the god and has underlined the helplessness of the human being in his own wry humorous manner and this is what has enamored him to the audience across generations.

With GOD TUSSI GREAT HO, the seriousness of conversation with the god could be deconstructed and the authority of the god can be interpreted in its own humorous manner as it is being done in this film.
