Title Dil has an interesting association with success. In most of the cases where the films have been made having Dil as title, either single or in conjunction suffixing or prefixing they have been success stories. Recent examples are DIL, DIL KYA KYA KASOOR, DIL CHAHTA HAI, DIL SE, DIL APNA AUR PREET PARAI, DIL KYA KARE etc. Dil as a title probably appeals to the heart, so Kumar Mangat has decided to launch her daughter along with Shekhar Suman's son in his new release HAAL-E-DIL. Such seems to be his confidence in the film, that he did not allow his nephew and daughter-in-law Ajay Devgun and Kajol to grace the occasion for any of the pre-release occasions of the film, as he had the desire to let the debuting stars not bask in the reflected glory.
One more USP of HAAL-E-DIL is that it is the film, which has been extensively shot in and around Chandigarh. After a long time a film is gracing the screen which has Chandigarh and its adjoining areas as the locale. Chandigarh being one of the few cities where the colleges are going to open in just a week's time, the film has a definite potential to appeal to the youth in Northern part of the country. Probably with Chandigarh as the background, the strong family values also are getting emphasis through HAAL-E-DIL and have relevance in the present times.
Eros International after a long time is associating with a film which has totally new star cast, previous films where Eros International had association include KRAZZY-4, BHOOTNATH, HEY BABY, U ME AUR HUM etc., which is indicative about the confidence the company has about the potential of the film to deliver.
The icing on the cake is the music by Vishal Bhardwaj who is one of the forces to be reckoned with in the Hindi film music, and cherry is in the form of the use of baritone voice of Rashid Khan in the title song. These are heady concoctions for a film, and HAAL-E-DIL seems to be built up on a good timber.
