It seems that a star who has the desire to be a part of the future wants to make his future secure by making debut through a film where he can conjure what is going to happen in the future. It was a trend that was started in a rather successful manner with KAHO NA PYAAR HAI, followed by KRRISH and now KAL KISSNE DEKHA. As the title itself explains it is a poser about the manner in which the future would unfold for those who are living in the present.

Vashu Bhagnani's latest offering marks debut of his son Jackky Bhagnani through this film, and also making debut as a female co-star is Vaishali Desai who is the niece of Man Mohan Desai. Jackky Bhagnani has already made his presence felt in a big way through the performance that he gave in the Filmfare Award Night of 2008, as also in a stage performance along with Karisma Kapoor in Ahmedabad.

KAL KISSNE DEKHA has been extensively shot in various university campuses of South Africa and the beauty of the campuses is brought out in vivid detail in the cinematic exposition. One thing about KAL KISNE DEKHA that appears to be surprising is that as it is coming in the immediate follow up to the Indian Premier League, IPL would have provided ample opportunity to market the film in South Africa in a big way. As it is there is a lot of adulation about Indian films in South Africa and one territory of the overseas would have been clinched before the film was to be released.

The realm of unknown always excites be it a child or an adult. Therefore as content for a film it has a big novelty but the caveat is that it should have been packaged in some novel way. The idea of interface with future is one theme, which Hollywood has mastered and slowly but surely Hindi cinema is also gravitating towards the same. KAL KISSNE DEKHA is one more attempt in this direction.

It being a first big film after the strike and releasing at a time when the universities and colleges would be welcoming a new academic session, it could turn out to be a favorite hangout of the young generation.
