R D Burman aka Pancham must be a pleased man as apart from the fact that the music given by him continues to rule the charts either as his original compositions or as remixes, his title of the songs are also getting a rerun in the form of movie titles. AA DEKHEN ZARA is a new title that has been adopted from the music given by Pancham. As a matter of fact during the last one year three films (including AA DEKHEN ZARA) have been released that took their titles from all time hits songs of Pancham.
It all started with BACHNA AE HASEENO the Yash Raj banner film that never had any association with Pancham during his lifetime as a music director for any of their films, but named this film after one of his all time great songs. The other film was JAANE TU YA JAANE NA, which again was an inspiration from the song: Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na from the film AA GALE LAG JA.
AA DEKHEN ZARA is the third film in this league and if one tries to encapsulate this song from the past, it was one of the songs where the tools of technology were used in a big way in picturisation of the song. Incidentally it is also interesting to point out that the camera, which Neil Nitin Mukesh uses in AA DEKHEN ZARA, is Hasselblad, 1500 F make, which was used by the scientists of NASA to click the photographs of space by an astronaut way back in 1960s. The astronaut in question was Walter ''Wally'' Schirra Jr., and the model of the camera used by him was Hasselblad 500cc.
Unknowingly, AA DEKHEN ZARA has turned out to be a film that brings about an assimilation of technology and the magic of Pancham's music as a tribute to his talent. Neil Nitin Mukesh's grandfather, Mukesh must be pleased that though he rarely got a chance to sing under the baton of Pancham, his grandson has paid a posthumous tribute to Pancham's oeuvre by singing the song originally composed by Pancham as a remix in AA DEKHEN ZARA.
