Trust Anupam Kher to come out with novelty, as it has been his leitmotif of his career for more than twenty-five years. To commemorate the twenty-five years of the release of this iconic film Anupam Kher has created a new benchmark of re-holding the premier of SAARANSH. It indeed was an iconic film way ahead of the time and therefore it indeed is a new initiative undertaken by Anupam Kher and it could provide a perfect opportunity for the star cast of such films to reassemble and revive the old memories.

Revisiting such films always refresh the memory and serve as a reminder about the distances the Indian cinema has traveled from the time SAARANSH was released. While jokingly Anupam has elucidated his decision for this initiative as an attempt to tell the world that he was the man who had enacted this rule, it indeed is a smart move in terms of its marketing outreach.

As these kinds of films were released mostly in the single screen theatres, it provides the single screen theatres with an opportunity to reaffirm their contribution to the cause of the Indian cinema.

It was Manmohan Desai who had visualized this imagery in his film NASEEB for the first time where star cast of the film had congregated to celebrate an occasion and Anupam has taken this initiative as a fitting tribute in actuality. For the present generation SAARANSH is indeed a film, which has its merit in gold, as the situation has not improved from the time when it was made. It has in fact further worsened, and in the quest for the elusive Eldora do many families in India are increasingly finding it difficult to cope with this dilemma. The anguish of the parents is so much exacerbated that they have taken snap decisions of snapping the umbilical chord, as the children are not inclined to return back.

May be, it also is the opportune time for Mahesh Bhatt to give this subject a fresh perspective as lots of water has flown under the bridge during the last 25 years since the film was made. Besides, as remakes are being made, as a remake film, SAARANSH indeed has a marketable proposition. It is coupled with the fact that now whole of the world recognizes Anupam Kher and therefore it may have a much wider success.
