As a grand finale to the closing of the Indian Premier League, Shilpa Shetty was supposed to have performed along with the international Rap star Akon. Whole world was waiting to see Shilpa just steal the hearts and karaar of all the television audiences around the world, but it did not happen. Shilpa did not dance Saala!

As a matter of fact when Shilpa Shetty was seen sitting along with the South African President Jacob Zuma exchanging pleasantries everybody was conjecturing that Shilpa must have been discussing her dance moves and whether it should have a combination of African beats as well, as it would provide her ample opportunity to do her jhatkas and matkas, but it did not happen.

Shilpa was supposed to perform along with Katrina Kaif and also Akon. Performing artists view for captive audience to display their talent and the closing ceremony of the IPL was the perfect platform for Shilpa to do so. After all, Shilpa was able to add luster to her stature after the success that she achieved in the Big Boss in England. As a matter of fact Big Boss had given her the platform to become the international celebrity, as her film career was not going great guns. It had also provided her the opportunity to meet her beau Raj Kundra and kindled the plans to buy stakes in Rajasthan Royals. Was she not inclined to do so as her team did not reach the finals or that she was not inclined to share the space with Katrina Kaif who is one of the most Googled film stars around? Whatever be the reason, loss has been that of Shilpa as she could have really rapped the audience in conjunction with Akon with her performance, and Akon proved it with his performance.

Katrina swooned the audience present in the stadium as also the international audience around the world with her performance on 'Jai Ho'. Incidentally, the IPL finals was one of the most viewed programme anywhere in the world and its outreach would surely have made more converts to Katrina's charm. Shilpa indeed lost the opportunity.
