So finally it has happened and the man who sort of patented it, the grand patriarch of Indian cinema Raj Kapoor, must be chuckling with delight as the tradition continues. We are talking about Katrina Kaif appearing in a saree in a song sequence soaked to the skin underlining the fact that her transformation from being an actor who mostly did roles of an English girl or an NRI girl to being new Indian pin up girl, as she has carried herself with oomph, sensuality and passion in the song from her film DE DANA DAN. It also provides a perfect opportunity to rewind to such passionate moments of Indian cinema that make their appearance more as a rarity than commonality.

MERA NAAM JOKER | MERA NAAM JOKER: "Anga lag ja balma" picturised on Padmini in this film epitomized the yearn of a common young man in India when exposed to such kind of a situation, or for that matter the passion was so evocative that it could have swayed anybody and Raj Kapoor could never create same moments. No wonder Radhu Karmakar was offered the best cinematographer award for this film.
