Hindi films have been on the path of analyzing the business of media for quite a long time and RANN is the latest offering in the category that tries to unravel the business of TRP that has come to become the mainstay of TV programming. As a matter of fact RANN has also commented upon the changes that have been brought to the business of filmmaking after adoption of television style of editing in the world of Hindi cinema. Release provides perfect opportunity to have a rewind of the association of media as it has been seen through the eyes of the cinematic lens.



NAYA DAUR: It was probably for the first time that an attempt was made by a film to have a look into the issue of development and displacement and what role the media could play in mitigating the woes arising out of it. Johny Walker as the effervescent tramp gave one of his performances in his career.
