KITES and history of Kites in the Indian films

It indeed is an interesting premise that Hrithik Roshan's KITES which is going to release on Friday is a film that has been marketed as an action film, a film whose action has not been experienced earlier. Interestingly enough, Hindi cinema has had its brush with KITES in the past in one way or the other and on the eve of release of KITES it would be an apt moment to let the string loose in the sky and look for KITES of Hindi films from the past.



BHABHI: It was probably the first film where a song underlining the gay abandon and sense of joy that the game of Kite flying connotes was brought out succinctly in the song from the films "Chali Chali re patang meri chali re". Chitra Gupta gave the music of the film.
