Children's Day & Treatment Of The Child As A Character In The Hindi Cinema

Though Hindi cinema has such a fan following among the children seldom does one come across a film where the child is given the treatment in a very natural manner. As a matter of fact there has been a progressive convergence towards projecting a brat kind of behavior of the child through the cinema, which does no good to help the child in learning manners in an objective manner. While cinema is a reflection of the manner in which the society is developing, and the brat kind of a behavior is a by-product of the nuclear families that has become a characteristic of the Hindi cinema. Here are some examples of the manner in which childhood is projected in Hindi cinema.



WE ARE FAMILY: The latest example of such kind of a projection was seen in WE ARE FAMILY, where the children seldom behaved in a normal manner. It is difficult to find a family where the children can be so obdurate and obstinate in their behavior as it was shown in this film.
