While Rohit Shetty took about two years to come up with GOLMAAL-3, or G-3 as it has been positioned, sensing the phenomenal success that the film has attained all across the country, he has been quick to announce that G-4 would be there in the cinema halls the next year.

Indeed, two year is a long gap to sustain the association with a brand, and by making the announcement about completing G-4, or GOLMAAL-4 and releasing it around Diwali in 2011, Rohit Shetty has underlined the fact that indeed it is high time the film fraternity started capitalizing on the brand and keep the audience in splits and also let the cash counters ringing.

His astuteness about continuing the saga of GOLMAAL is manifest from the point where G-3 has ended. It has left ample scope for the director to weave another madcap, while creating an opportunity for new characters to enter into the part of the narrative as well.

However, this time around Rohit Shetty need to think of something new in the form of the plot as the verbal disability acts of Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade have lost their ingenuity, and now it appears denigrating as well to those who suffer from such physical disability in reality.

Besides, though in the recent times Rohit Shetty has emerged as one of the biggest promoters of Goa through his GOLMAAL series, it is time the film moves out of Goa, or if it has to be Goa centric, may be it needs to push into the interiors of Goa rather than using the location of Panaji in G-4 once again. While as a strategy of keeping the costs under tight leash, using locations in and around Goa is a master device, it needs to be peppered with some exotic stuff, and that exotic stuff is available in abundance around Goa.

One thing is for sure the success that Rohit Shetty has achieved in the recent times by using Goa as a backdrop could inspire more Goa centric films, after all it is a herd mentality, one only hopes that it is as smartly packed as it has been done by Rohit Shetty, or otherwise it could turn out to be GOLMAAL for the producers.
