So, now Shatrughan Sinha has also decided that enough is enough and it is high time that he should take the bow into the world of television. But he being Shatrughan Sinha who has reveled in his acting career in setting his own benchmarks, he has decided that his debut would not be a run of the mill debut, but he is slated to host the Kaun Banega Crorepati in Bhojpuri on Mahua channel.
One thing is for sure, once he makes his debut as a host of the Bhojpuri version of KBC, Bhojpuri language's acceptance is going to move to a higher level in quadratic proportions. After all, Bhojpuri speaking public is scattered around the world, and Shatrughan Sinha being its shinning beacon, he would indeed expand the outreach of the language.
It was precisely for this reason that Siddhartha Basu and his quizzing team was after him for quite a long time to accord his accent, as they are aware about the fact that East of Ganges Shatrughan Sinha still has phenomenal fan following. Bhojpuri as a language in entertainment medium has emerged in a very strong manner during the last two three years, manifest from the fact that even a hard core traditionally Marathi speaking centre like Dadar saw films in Bhojpuri running to packed houses.
Among the guests who have been lined by Shatrughan Sinha to appear in his show are his daughter Sonakshi Sinha, Salman Khan, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Yashwant Sinha and Nitish Kumar. Shatrughan Sinha hopes that with this initiative that he is taking for the Bhojpuri language government of the day would sit up and take notice about the outreach of the language and accord it the official status of being one of the main languages spoken in the country. As a matter of fact one of the overriding considerations that swayed Shatru Bhaiya to accept the offer to host the programme has been his love for the language Bhojpuri. He holds the view that with this intervention may be he would be able to contribute towards his mother tongue and give it a recognition that has been eluding it for quite a long time. Amen to that.
