'Everybody has a bit of Junglee Jawani in them '
Kingfisher Calender Girl Nargis Fakhri is flying high. After her debut in Imtiaz Ali's ROCKSTAR opposite Ranbir Kapoor, the American model is flooded with film offers and endorsements. Nargis has been roped in as brand ambassador for popular women's wear brand Van Heusen Woman our correspondent in conversation with the actor in Mumbai.
Since ROCKSTAR is still on viewer's mind, let's start by asking who is your rockstar in life and why?
That's an interesting question because actually I think I am my own rockstar.
And what makes you a rockstar?
Anyone who is self-made, and is an independent person is a rockstar. I am also confident, self-made, fearless...and hence a rockstar.
Being a successful model, why don't you share some style tips with us?
A woman should be comfortable in what she is wearing; I make sure to be very comfortable in what I wear every day. Also, when you look in the mirror, you have to love what you are wearing.
Is it true that post ROCKSTAR success you have three big endorsements in your kitty and already a brand war has started?
Well I don't know. As you can see, I am with Van Heusen Woman and this is my first brand. If you want to ask more, you can ask my manager (Laughs).
Media buzz says you were not keen to do a Hindi movie when you were signed for ROCKSTAR. Do you want to make a career in Bollywood now or want to go back to modelling?
(Pauses)...As long as everybody wants me to stay here, I will stay
||Nargis Fakhri: I am bold in nature
Have you gone through the reviews on your performance in ROCKSTAR?
I have been getting really wonderful reviews. I am quite surprised and happy at the same time.
There is a controversy going on about you and Ranbir watching Junglee Jawani in ROCKSTAR and now the actress of the porn flick planning to file a complaint against Imtiaz Ali (director). Comment.
Everybody has a bit of Junglee Jawani in them. That's all I have to say.
