glamsham : To be an actor, was it your first & last dream ?
Arya : Yes, as far as I remember, I must have been in 5th or 7th standard, when I told my father that I want to be an actor, he laughed and said "Bete pehle lambe ho jaa", (grow up first).
glamsham : You have also done theatres at Ekjute (headed by Nadira Babbar - mother of Arya) ?
Arya : I am doing theatres since I was 10. I have acted in many plays also. But I have been more behind the stage than on the stage. That's more of a learning process for an actor.
glamsham : You were very plump in your teens, how did you manage to tune your physique ?
Arya : Yes I was quite plump when I was young. At 17, when I was doing Kishore Namit Kapoor's acting classes I realised that all the actors, models & upcoming stars are nicely built and have a good physique and as far I was concerned I used to take two seats to sit. Therefore, I
had to really work hard. Swimming, jogging but no weights. I was only into physical training.
glamsham : You started off with a very big banner of Raj Kanwar. How did you feel when you actually signed the film as a hero ?
Arya : It was a dream come true. Like reaping fruits after years of toil.
glamsham : Do you remember your first take, how was the feeling ?
Arya : My first take was more of a look than a dialogue. I had to come outside a car & my Guru & friend Shakti Kapoor was badly thrashed by Dannyji, I had to ask him who did all this, he points towards Dannyji and I have to turn around and give Dannyji a total attitude kind of a look. I was quite lucky that my first shot was OK. It gave me the confidence.
glamsham : Ab Ke Baras must have been a learning experience for you, working with senior stars ?
Arya : I feel everything in life is a learning experience. It was a complete acting process to learn in front of the camera.
I will always remember Ab Ke Baras and try to synchronize things, learn and try to do them better.
glamsham : Do you find your parents influence in your acting ?
Arya : However big the plant, it always comes from the seed. However big I might be, my parents reflections would always be there in me. I have never tried to mimick my father, mother or anyone, because I am a bad mimickry artist and try to be natural Arya all the time.
glamsham : Your future plans ?
Arya : I plan to work slowly & do good work in film industry. I don't plan to run. I believe a person who walks reaches safely. I would prefer to take my car at a speed of 20km. I have a few projects in my hand. I am doing Ramoiji Rao's film "Thoda Tum Badlo Thoda Hum" directed by Ismail Shroffsaab. I am doing two projects with Raj Kanwarji, one with D Rama Naidu and our home production is also there. There are talks going on with some big banners also.
