Bachchan in love with 'Black' and more
By Subhash K. Jha, IANS
"If Sanjay Leela Bhansali doesn't make another film with me right away I'll kill him," says Amitabh Bachchan with uncharacteristic force.
After seeing the rushes of "Black", the Big B said he couldn't sleep properly. "I kept seeing scenes from the film all night in my dreams." Jaya Bachchan agrees: "'Black' is a very, very important event in Hindi cinema."
Though it's freezing in Shimla, the Big B isn't complaining even though he's dunked in water for several shots. Actually, when does he ever complain?
Amitabh has also found a new best friend. Her name is Ayesha Kapoor. She's his co-star in "Black" and she's all of 10. The girl is so bright and so stunningly gifted, she not only tells him how to improve the shots but also gives the amused and startled director very valid suggestions on the sets.
With the prodigy from Pondicherry, who plays Rani Mukherjee's childhood avatar, acting like she was born for the camera, there's a sense of excitement on the sets.
For all you know, l'il Ayesha (born to a German mother and a Punjabi father) may steal the show from both Mr B and Ms M who have given career-defining performances in "Black".
