Pande to do a sequel to SINS!
By Manisha Deshpande
If his forthcoming English film, SINS, draws the expected response in the Indian and international market, producer-director Vinod Pande, the maker of films like EK BAAR PHIR, is planning two more sequels to the film, SINS-I and SINS-II.
According to Pande, SINS is a bold English film portraying the story of "a crime of passion" based on an incident that happened in the south. The controversial song-less film, which is said to have several bold semi-nude scenes, was earlier refused clearance by the Censor Board after which the Film Appellate Tribunal cleared the film in October this year. "It's a bold film no doubt but it should not be misconstrued as a cheap and vulgar film. The film has been made for a niche audience," Pande reveals.
The big advantage for the film is the fact that it is being released by Yashraj all over the world, with the latter being the world rights controller of the film. "Yashraj was involved in the film right from day one when Aditya Chopra approved the script and gave it a go-ahead. The fact that it is being distributed by Yashraj is a huge psychological fillip for the film," says Pande.
