Has Indra Kumar signed Vivek-Aishwarya for his next?
By Manisha Deshpande
If she decides to give a nod to all the producers who are waiting at her doorstep with challenging scripts, Aishwarya Rai's dates will probably be booked for another ten years. A week ago, glamsham.com broke the news about Shyam Bengal confirming Aishwarya for a film, in addition to the many projects that she has lined up including the one with Raj Kumar Santoshi. The latest on Aishwarya's front is that producer-director Indra Kumar has signed her for a film co-starring Vivek Oberoi. The pairing of the off-screen jodi did not quite work wonders for the audiences in KYON HO GAYA NA. Incidentally, this will be the second film co-starring Vivek among Aishwarya's forthcoming projects, the first one being Tolu Bajaj’s production, which she is believed to have signed more than a year ago. Her business manager, Hari Singh, confirms the news, "Aishwarya has indeed signed a film which we are told will have Vivek as her co-star. She had also held talks for the Sachin Bajaj film way back. But that is all I am aware of at the moment. I am not in a position to comment which will be her earliest films to go on the floor," Singh revealed.
According to Singh, there are at least 22 producers with whom Aishwarya has had discussions and script hearings. "She will have to choose four of them which can commence immediately in the coming year. The rest will have to wait, but even this will be known only after she has a meeting with her L.A. agent, about her international commitments," Singh says.
Aishwarya will now be leaving for Los Angeles on December 15, which will be followed by a whirlwind tour of Paris and Europe. In Paris she will shoot for the L'OREAL campaign, after which she will head for the International festival of Marqis, where she will be honored. "Once she is back from her world tour she’ll get cracking down on all her projects," says Singh.
