"I haven't abandoned the Naseer project," says Shabbir
By Manisha Deshpande
There was a time during the making of DIL KA RISHTA, when producer Shabbir Boxwalla, had great plans lined up for the future. However he decided not to go ahead with any of them apart from signing Naseeruddin Shah to direct a film for his banner. A year has passed ever since but the cast of the film is yet to be finalized. There was news that Naseer had his own reservations about bowing down to the dictates of stars and dancing to their tunes, due to which Boxwalla decided to keep the project temporarily on hold.
"But there is no question of calling off the film. We will very much go ahead with it next year," says Boxwalla, adding that Naseer is currently busy with a number of Hollywood commitments and is unlikely to find time until mid-2005. "We plan to start the film soon after that. In all probability, it will star new names," he adds.
Currently Boxwalla is pre-occupied as a consultant to Sahara One Motion Pictures, where he has been trying to put together projects. One of them is a film to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, called HOME DELIVERY.
