Anant Mahadevan's title secrets!
By Manisha Deshpande
Director Anant Mahadevan is 'd'oubly expectant that his film, DIL MAANGE MORE, will work wonders at the box-office. Firstly, the film has shaped up brilliantly according to him and the second is the title, which he feels is sure to work for the film's success. "Besides being a crisp and catchy title, I felt it could work from the very day I removed 'Yeh' from the title. It gives a very positive feeling," he says optimistically, adding that the alphabet 'Y' wasn't exactly a happening one for the film.
It may be recalled that Mahadevan had originally titled the film MOHABBAT KI KII KIII', after which it was changed to YEH DIL MAANGE MORE, when Farida Jalal and Sudesh Iyer were to produce the film for him. But the project got delayed and Mahadevan subsequently approached Nikhil Panchamiya of Fourth Wall Productions. Around the same time, he changed the title to DIL MAANGE MORE and the project took off in no time with a grand launching at the I.I.F.A awards. Sometime it pays to be superstitious, one must say.
